Class 3

I can't believe it's Class 3 already, and I am just now adding another blog.

I have an Animation Demon. I am so damn incredibly lucky that I have this inner demon which takes possession of my consciousness and focuses my entire concentration. It takes over, driving my efforts down into the nitty gritty details of my work, to the point where time flies by and I don't even realize that I have been sitting in one position for five hours straight.

No lie. It is extremely time-consuming and frustrating at times. I pour an inordinate amount of time and my blood sweat and tears into three seconds of animation every week. Lately, it's been the same three seconds for three weeks in a row.

Quarter 1 - Week 9

Week 9 of AM and I find myself almost an expert on drawing Stu. His simplified body is not trivial to get correctly proportioned, precisely because it is not in proportion with the realistic human body that I am comfortable with drawing. I hope that by the time I finish AM, I will not completely forget how to draw the human body in correct proportions. I also hope that I will be able to resist embellishing humans with cartoony shapes and exagerated stylized poses. I spent far too much time trying to perfect the art of drawing human bodies correctly.
